Image Acquisition (Shooting)

With over 23 years of camera work experience we can get the shots you need! Everything from Interviews, Product shots, TV shows, Web series, Documentaries, Short Films, Full Films... As the saying goes "the best Cameramen are those also Edit" Maze-Creations works in Post Productions and doing so helps us Shoot more efficiently. Knowing how to edit the project helps us know what we can get away with post and what we CAN'T. So when we say "we can fix it in Post" we mean it. Understanding this gives us an edge over your standard Cameramen.

Editing

With over 16 years of Editing experience in music videos, commercials, documentaries, shows, and films we know a thing or two about it. Today's NLE's are amazingly powerful but the art of editing is crucial. Knowing when to make that cut, or how to feel the tempo of the scene is invaluable. Further giving credence to the saying "the film is MADE in the editing room". Great editing can fix a bad shot but it can also destroy a good one so choose wisely!

Color timing / Finishing

After getting Picture Lock what's left? A lot! Many productions leave a lot on the table when finishing a cut. Color timing is ESSENSIAL to completing the look and feel of the production. Rec709, BT2020, DCI-P3, are some of the most popular color spaces and depending on your deliverable it could make or break how your production looks. Is it HDR? Is it SDR? What HDR specs, HDR10, Dolby Vision, maybe HDR600? We can make sure the picture looks right in the right presentation technology. From a smartphone, big HDR+ flat screen, to a DCP Projector screening. Let us help you figure it out. Look development is also an art. And no slapping on a "film" Lut and calling it a day doesn't make it film-like. Contrary to popular belief building the look of your film /Production is based on the mood and feel of each and every scene. We make sure each scene begins with a balanced exposure, contrast, and saturation tone before even beginning to make color pallet decisions. Is that shirt not the right "green"? We can fix it. Is that window too blown out? We can also fix that. Using today's most modern technology and advance technical knowhow we can make sure your production/ Film looks how you want it to look. Of course, it helps to have Professionals like us shoot it right to begin with but we can work with any project no matter who, what, and how it was shot. SD, HD, QHD, DCI 4k, 6K, 8K, even 12K.
